The founders of the Red Branch Band grew up steeped in their Irish ancestry at home, and the band regularly participates in Utah Hibernian Society events, playing traditional tunes that are hundreds of years old, as well as more contemporary selections from the living heritage of Irish culture.
The Salt Lake City Arts Council is a division of Salt Lake City Corporation in the Department of Economic Development and also maintains a nonprofit corporation, the Salt Lake City Arts Council Foundation with 501(c)(3) status.
